There is nothing more magical than an Erin Morgenstern book.
I should've read this a long time ago, but whew I'm glad I have now. I don't even know if I fully understood everything that happened in the book, but just like The Starless Sea it was a delightful journey to go on, full of tangible characters that you fall in love with.

In the beginning I was getting frustrated because I didn't understand the rules of the game but mostly because of the vagueness of the explanation A. H. and Hector gave. I just wanted to understand the nature of the game but then, I got more invested with the characters and the circus and started to enjoy the book. Other helpful thing was the discovery of a Spotify playlist that went really well with this book.

There are some books you read that deserve more than five stars.
Books that take you to new worlds that are so exciting and carefully crafted that you wish you could stay there forever. Introduce you to characters so wonderful that your expectations for real life just shoot up. And have descriptions so tantalizing, oh please, take me to the world of the Night Circus.
Erin Morgenstern weaves an enchanting tale of two magicians, destined to be opponents in a game. They are told only one thing.

I really enjoyed this book. From the minute I picked it up, I couldn't put it down. This book was filled with mystery, fantasy and a dash of romance. My friend read it during a storm associated black out, and I have to admit, all the other obvious implications of a storm/blackout situation aside, I was kind of jealous - what a perfect book to read during a black out.... it would have just added to the whole mystique of the book. I found the ending only slightly disappointing, which may have just

This was a book I enjoyed reading. But it tried too hard to make a mystery that was telegraphed far too early and there wasn't enough character development to make the love story plausible. It was also very difficult to follow. Still, I did enjoy it - but it wasn't as great as I wanted it to be.
