Shelves: classics, mystery, read-with-carter, childrens-middle-grade
I read this as a child and remember liking it then, though the details were more than fuzzy. I picked it up at a second-hand book store to read with my son, a 4th grader. Needless to say, I was less than impressed. Early on, I kept asking my son if he wanted me to continue reading. Was he finding the book interesting? It's okay, I assured him.
