This is my first fantasy novel possibly ever, and I'm hoping GRRM doesn't die for another century so he can keep writing. I was a bit confused by the prologue, but once I got through it I started to become really engulfed in the story. I'm not much of a fan of Bran's chapters, though, but I got through those too and I'm actually surprised he pulled through. Great start to a great series. Full of death, fighting, family, and a little bit of love. something that everyone should have a go at reading.
