This was a great book - despite being long, it felt quick to read most of the time, because I couldn't put it down once i picked it up (I had to actually make myself set it aside for a couple weeks so that I didn't finish it way too early to remember for book club). I loved the way Theo evolved as he grew up, how weird his life was, how fully-fleshed all the characters were, and how so much of what happened could be divine circumstance or life choices and you went back and forth between the two,

This book appears on many best books lists - and for good reason. Tartt is a master storyteller. The characters are memorable, the plot deliciously complicated and the writing well-crafted. I can't wait to see who plays Boris in the movie.
