What Members Thought
At first, I was afraid this second in the trilogy was not going to be as good as the first, but I was so wrong. The invasion of Tearling by the Mort brings out the best and worst in all the characters from the first book. Kelsea is especially conflicted as her power increases, and she is drawn to tap the evil side of her power, much like the Red Queen, her opponent. Most interesting of all is the connection between Kelsea and Lily, an abused wife from the pre-Crossing days in a dystopian version
