Wonderful book! Love the MC and the whole premise - so clever. Just the right amount of romance and much better done than other books in its genre. I really do hope we get more books in this series. Such a pleasure.

I’m not really sure this is a full on 4 star, might be more like 3.75. This was my first read of this book – whereas I didn’t enjoy the 2nd read of the first one – am I making sense here? I re-read the first book, The Archived, before reading this one and though I enjoyed it, this one was better as far as the writing style. So. Ugh.
The fact with Schwab's books is that they are really good. She knows how to write her characters and develop their plots, so I want to just say that this is just a personal problem I have with this series: I just don't get in this universe enough.
I love Mackenzie and Wesley, but basically I don't think about them all day, wondering what will happen to them next and stuff. Still, I get pretty excited about how fucking good is Schwab. My head is not in the game, that's all.

Victoria Schwab, you always cease to amaze me on your writing style and the twists of this second installment. Though I hate it that it's quite a cliffhanger there in the end. Geez, I couldn't wait for the next installment. Wait, is there? Ha.
