I was initially drawn into this book by the cover and the themes of LGBTQ+ characters and music together. I haven't read many Young Adult books this year so I thought that this would be a refreshing read which it was.

this is such an important book that's both heartbreaking and really funny. so glad I own and read it and really recommend it to everyone; Gabe is a relatable character (even if you're not trans*) and his story was one I enjoyed a lot.
