To-the-point, yet striking writing. The history was new and enjoyable. This book felt like a smooth course, maybe a little too smooth. The jumping time periods were surprisingly well-done, the transitions smooth. However, I felt like the plot wasn't moving enough for my liking. Granted, it takes place over the course of five days, but I craved something more out of the plot. Still, I look forward to picking up more of Marra's works in the future. ...more
