I found that the characters didn't really develop that much as friendship wise as I would've liked in this book. It took me quite awhile to get through as well because of how wimpy the characters were in the novel and that aspect came back towards the end of the book. This was so good. Do you know how I can prove how good it was? I have no quotes. None. That either means that I was too enthralled in the book to bother about taking quotes down or the book was abysmal. I'm so pleased to tell you that this was the former rather than the latter. I loved Throne of Glass so I had high hopes for this one. Sarah J. Maas did not disappoint.

I truly loved this book!! I found it hard to put down at points and it made me want to jump right into the next one!!! Celaena is easily one of my favorite fictional characters of all time!!!

ADORING rereading this series! It's still just as good as I remember and there are SO many more things i'm noticing this time around that I definitely had forgotten or didn't even notice the first time I read the series.

6.5/10 - better romance than Throne of Glass, but predictable plot. I'm still not the biggest fan of the characters. however, chaol and celeana relationship was enjoyable! the pacing felt a bit off for me.

I love it
An exciting sequel and second book in this series. I'm still not loving it, but as I've said I own all the books. So I'll keep reading. I may donate them after. The story is getting weirder and I'm not sure how fantastical it's going to get. I think these books are just making me realize that fantasy is not a genre I enjoy very much. We shall see if the books get better for me.
