Okay, so I have never read a book by Victoria Schwab before, this was my first. She does not disappoint! Holy hell!! From the moment I started this book I was sucked into it. The world that she has created is amazingly insane! I love everything about it! I'm kind of sad to hear that this is only a duelology for that reason. I could keep reading about Kate and August for the rest of my life and be a very happy woman!! Wow! Just Wow!

The start was a little slow and a tad confusing however this all change very quickly and I ended up loving it, hence the 5 stars.

These monsters, the Corsai, Malchai, and Sunai, are birthed from violent acts, with Corsai being birth from non-lethal acts, Malchai being born from murder, and Sunai being birthed from mass murders.
