Its over. These books are so attached to my soul. They were the part of me. After Harry Potter(childhood) The Mortal Instruments were the next big thing. They mean so much to me and they're over. This was the final book and i'm not okay. THIS ONE WAS THE MOST PERFECT BOOK CASSANDRA HAS EVER WRITTEN!!! With that being said i don't know what else i can say that won't spoil you. so here it is. me going mad and filling you with spoilers:

OMG OMG OMG The whole book just kept giving me chil Its over. These books are so attached to my soul. They were the part of me. OMG OMG OMG The whole book just kept giving me chills. Emma and Julian are so adorable and i can't wait to read the Dark Artifices. The way cassie described Emma's loss and her terribly amazing strength for a kid. just WOW. Simon and Izzy being OTP perfection..and Malec pure pain. CLACE. CLACEEEE THE OTP OF HEAVEN. LITERALLY. The have heaven inside them. The things they said to each other. the speeches. the cave scene. the fighting side by side. everything. They were made for each other and they are perfect otp is perfect and i can't.

I loved Jocelyn's and Luke's relationship..it was shown so beautifully in this book. And the fact that Luke kept calling Clary 'my daugther' 'our daughter' just no. FEELS EVERYWHERE. Because he was her real father. Just as Alec and Izzy were the real siblings to Jace. OH OH MAX. DON'T GET ME STARTED ON MAX. The visions of what could have been broke me. In all 6 books Max's loss was the hardest thing. Jordan's death didn't affect me that much but it stil did hurt.

OH MY GOD. I FORGOT ABOUT JEM. IAJEFILAKJEDFAKJ <333 JUST JUST UGHHH. I was and always will be Wessa. Even if he's dead for over a century i will mourn him and i can't accept Jessa. But Jem and Tessa as two individuals? PERFECTION. Jem is so so good and wise and omg he's freaking back!! I do want them both to be happy though so i want complain about Jessa. But the constant mentioning Will and Tessa,and Tessa's pain of losing him. i couldn't breathe. I just took in my arms my Clockwork Princess book and wept. and wept. and wept. OTP. STILL. Hahaha and Jem stealing Church in the end?? Hahahah that was so so funny 'but he hates everyone'

Simon and Izzy. OMG OMG. He kept saying i love you and he kept fighting for her. and she loved him like she haven't loved anyone before and then the memory thing happen and it broke me. HOW COULD YOU CASSIE?? At least it was kind of fixed in the end,but still. no. not fair to the most precious character of the series. At least he was dreaming about her. and he said he'll try again. AND AND AND HE IS MORTAL NOW. And he wants to be a shadowhunter so they will be together forever and badass and cute and FEELSSSSSSS <3333

Alec and Magnus. I felt so sorry for Alec in this book. He was so devastated and he loves Magnus immensely. I loved the fact that Robert got to say that he was proud of him in the end. it was all Alec wanted. what any kid wants. Approval. AND THE MALEC SCENES?? KILL ME WHY DON'T YOU?? They will be together till the end of Alec's time and just feelsss <333

Clace. I loved them since page one. Since i first got into these books. Now. 5 years later they still give me major feels. 'i love you recklessly' or or 'everytime i think I’m missing a piece of me,you give it back.” OTP OF THE OTP's. They are finally happy,free to be together and just ughhh just marry and have lots of Herondale babies running around!!!!!

I can't express my love for these books and characters and this book in particular. I think Cassandra did an amazing job in this one. Her writing has evolved and the fact that i've read The Infernal Devices,The Shadowhunter Codex and almost all of the Magnus Bane Chronicles, make me feel like i know more about this world. I'm so invested in Cassie's world and that means more feels. She's the lord of feels. She can make us cry without even trying. I feel so bittersweet over this ending. but i know that there will be more..its just that THESE characters will never be on front cover again. and i'll miss them terribly.
So i'll be here. crying. dying inside from the feels. and waiting for my book copy of COHF to arrive so i can re-read it and cry over it again and again and again. like only Cassandra can make us do.

The last book in one of my favourite series ever (yes, I am well aware of how cheesy that sounds. Deal with it) and boy, was I far from disappointed in it. Cassandra Clare brought me back into the world of shadowhunters, demons and various other creatures and she did it flawlessly. The whole time I was reading, I was captivated, although I have to admit that I stopped every now and then to catch my breath (yeah, yeah and to eat and sleep and go to school, yada yada). Cassie excells a NO SPOILERS
The last book in one of my favourite series ever (yes, I am well aware of how cheesy that sounds. Deal with it) and boy, was I far from disappointed in it. Cassandra Clare brought me back into the world of shadowhunters, demons and various other creatures and she did it flawlessly. The whole time I was reading, I was captivated, although I have to admit that I stopped every now and then to catch my breath (yeah, yeah and to eat and sleep and go to school, yada yada). Cassie excells at bringing a lifelike image into your mind with characters that grip at your heart and hurt to let go of. However, I'm pleased to say that I don't feel like it's all over. The struggle and pain is over (thank goodness), but I don't feel as if I must give up Clary, Jace, Izzy, Alec, Simon, Magnus and so many other characters. They will always be a part of me and I'm so glad that I don't feel the need to let go.

For a really large part of this book, I felt like something wasn't right. Maybe it was just because I had never had to wait for a Cassie Clare book before. Maybe it was the change in POVs, how it wasn't solely Clary's POV anymore. Maybe it was that I was scared to have my heart broken, so I distanced myself. I don't know. All I know is that once I had this book in my hands I wasn't and still won't let go. Cassie Clare captured me in her wonderful web of goodness right from the start, but the end of this book was just so perfect.

Honestly, I can't think of any ways this book could have been better. Cassandra Clare is an absolutely fabulous author. I can't wait for more from her. This book had me laughing, crying, despairing, seething, pissed off, smiling and dare I say it, going completely bonkers at all times. I got so much out of City of Heavenly Fire. I hope that everyone finds it as amazing as I have. ~ Lauryn

In the months leading up to this book, I was pretty worried because of the 6 major character deaths, but was looking forward to a sense of closure. As far as concluding the series,it was perfect. I feel the author did a superb job in linking together all of the 5 shadowhunter series books,The Mortal Instruments, The Infernal Devices, The Dark Artifices and even The Last Hours, and introducing Emma and Julian's story, and foreshadowing event to come in the Dark Artifices brilliantly.
