More like 3.5

3.5 stars

What I liked-
+ the setting (Australia, London, Rome)
+ descriptions of home and nature
+ that it was a family saga spanning decades
+ inside look at the mind of a priest- I found it inspiring.

What I didn't like-
- the characters, save 2 or 3. I found them hard to read about because they were annoying and selfish.
- that it was a family saga spanning decades (I've read much better)

Read this back around the time of publication (or was it after the mini-series?) and was engrossed. My only strong recollection was that it really put me off men for a while! Really great family saga.
