The middle book in a trilogy of novels converted from plays that PG Wodehouse put out in the early 1930s. This feels very much like an almost century old two act play with a bare minimum of work done to turn it into a novel. As always with Wodehouse there is the redeeming quality of the skill with language and some smile inducing one liners, but sadly this thin book is also very dated. A short novel based on Wodehouse's own 1927 play, GOOD MORNING, BILL (in turn adapted from Ladislaus Fodor's Hungarian farce). It's very slight stuff that betrays its stage origins, but is never-the-less pleasantly entertaining. A minor work for the great author.
