This is an imperfect Wodehouse, but for some reason I quite enjoyed it. The two Great series of Jeeves and Wooster and Blandings and subsidiary books are fairly predictable though wonderful and you usually know what you are getting with the short story collections. The one off novels, of which there are roughly 25, starting with Piccadilly Jim and A Damsel in Distress are in and out performers at least by Wodehouse standards.
