Not the best by Wodehouse, although even when not at his best he is still very good. Especially liked Spike Mullins.

I'm on a quest to read through the works of the greatest humor writer in the history of the English language. In the past I've read all the J&W and Blandings volumes along with many other books written in the 30s through the 60s. Coming from this background, the early works of Wodehouse have been a rather unpleasant shock. Some folks seem to love dated schoolboy stories from over a century past and lengthy descriptions of cricket matches, I'm not one of them. Little for the first decade of Wodeh ...more

Perhaps this is one of his early works. Though, this has got enough Plummy elements, however, may be due to the fact we have higher expectations from him, I found this a bit lesser in comparison to his other works that I have gone through. However, as I say, there are no Plum fans but fanatics who, I am sure, would also like this piece of work and it is always worthwhile to explore his works for our own enrichment.
