This is one of a kind in all Wodehouse’s novels. I haven’t seen a premise like this any other novel. It all revolves around this little club/group called Bachelors Anonymous in California who think celibate life is the best. When any of those group fall into the temptation of love, they confront the person and talk to them like Dutch Uncle. A good novel and many memorable laughs.

A brief bit of dated nothing. Wodehouse had a remarkable career, but ran out of steam in the early sixties and tried to compensate by adding then 'modern' touch that now are painful reminders of the age of these books. This novel from the early 70s is an example of this slow slide in quality and the 70s feel rather than the timelessness of his earlier writings, though to the fair the author was over 90 when he wrote this.
