Like the fine port that Beach the Butler oft enjoys, Pigs Have Wings is a familiar joy to any fan of PG Wodehouse. While it might not rise to the absolute height of the best of Wodehouse, it is a simple joy. That resident scallywag of Blandings Galahad is up to assorted tricks and pigs are kidnapped and moved about to great effect.

Much of this book seemed to me to feel like P.G. Wodehouse back to his pre-WWII form. And, yet, somehow it didn't quite come together. It lacks the neatness of Wodehouse of the '30s and before, though, as always, it IS consistently entertaining.
