This collection has two strikes against it for the reader going chronologically through the works of PG Wodehouse in the journey of a lifetime. Five of the stories are reworkings of stories in the collection My Man Jeeves and we all know about twice told tales. Also these stories are the earliest J&W stories written in the midish nineteen-teens. PG Wodehouse showed a remarkable jump in maturity as a comic writer from the 1910s to the early 1920s.
