I don't know why I keep trying for classics, they just clearly aren't my taste...
As far as classics go, I did enjoy this more than most. I was a little disappointed that it seemed the only plot was the 'romance', although I didn't feel much of that either. I understand it was different times, and that might be half the problem is I just don't understand the socialization and scandal. As I am to understand, Elizabeth was already pushing societal standards by not marrying, but I was hoping for mor ...more
