This series was so easy to read, I legitimately read both in one seating. I’m giving this a 5 star because really, why the hell not? It had given me absolutely no reason to lower it down. But! That does not mean that there is no missing quality to it.

So first of all, let's say why this book is Better than the first one!
#I liked the consistency of the writing style. The first book was great and all, but it had consistency problem in the writing style. The first half of the book felt like a regency era story, which became very 21st century-ish in the second half. The perfect follow up to the first book
Absolutely loved this whole story from start to finish. Aren and Lara's journey and romance is one of my ultimate favorites.
An incredible ending, but I love that more stories are emerging from this world I feel so invested in.
This book exceeded my expectations and I can't wait to read the next story in this series! ...more

July 2021. 4.5* THIS BOOK WAS SO GOOD. i literally don’t like action scenes but this whole book was one big action scene and it was done so well. i’m obsessed w this series.

I loved so much. The angst and oh gosh, the pain. This was so so so so good. I won't stop talking about this one for some time to come.
