“Because there is only one Queen of Ithicana. Just as there is only one King. And if any of our enemies dare come for our kingdom, we will bring them to their knees.”
What a emotional, jaw dropping, action packed, intense and beautiful conclusion to Aren and Lara’s story!!
There were so many instances in this book when I wasn’t sure things were going to go right. Plans kept getting screwed up, emotions and anger at an all time high, action, battle and survival scenes that kept me on the edge o ...more

This book is off the hook! Jensen makes us FEEL so much in this story— for Lara, for Aren, Keris… the list keeps going. Lara returns to save Aren from her father after the fallout of her betrayal in book 1 and it’s some serious DEVASTATION people. The people of Ithicana run her into the ground for what she’s done, not saying I blame them, but we really feel what she feels 🥹
Side note— major bonus is that we get to see her sisters in action 💫

*update on 5/3:
I just listened to this all the way through for a second time. I have a new love for audiobooks, I love this story, I love Aren and Lara.
Guys. I don’t even like audiobooks, and this one had me hooked from the start. It took me a while to finish it between moving and getting settled, but hot DANG Danielle Jensen has done it again! I have absolutely loved every single book I’ve read and now listened to by her.

In the beginning, I hated Aren in the first book loved him from the beginning but this why even I think that I hated him ?
And Lara oh Lara she was amaaaaaaazing
But at the end, I wanted more about Aren and Lara’s relationship
Good book , good story
Waiting for the next year to see Keris and really hoped to see Ahanns book

If possible I love this book more than the first. Forget enemies to lovers all hail the I love you, but I have to hate you trope. Damn, my little romantic heart sang everytime Aren called Lara my wife while pretending he hated her for what she did. And Lara finally realizing what she wanted and being able to be reunited briefly with her sisters.
I loved every moment of this even with the one chapter being mislabeled (it said Lara when it was Aden’s pov) and some of the page numbers missing (it mi ...more

My love for Aren and Lara’s story is something that will stick with me! I’ve loved the crazy emotional roller coaster throughout The Bridge Kingdom and now The Traitor Queen which brought so much more action and adventure into the mix. My heart ached so much throughout this book and I feel that I was living through every emotion the characters felt for each other, the betrayal, the guilt, the longing for one another which made me not want to put it down! Sad the ending was so abrupt but can’t wa

I've read this (or listened to?) in less than two days. That didn't happen in a while.
