I'm not crying, you're crying...
Ok so first of all know this book took me three days to finish not because I didn't want to binge it as quickly as possible but because I couldn't bare to see it end. And I was right in being weary of an ending like that!
Not giving spoilers on a book that's last in a series is hard but I will say that seeing our heros battle so hard was moving, inspiring even. I loved the theme of Guerre and that strategy that pulled through all three books. I was devastated by ev ...more

I won’t lie, the first half of the book was a bit too slow for my liking, but then again I don’t have the greatest interest or patience for strategic talk or politics.
Needless to say, the second half of the conclusion of The Malediction Trilogy made up for any slowness.
The main character, although not perfect and having more than one eye-roll worthy moment, was still interesting enough to follow through her adventure.
I can’t really say much without giving anything away, but the last two years ...more

I CRIED SO HARD. This book is EVERYTHING I wanted and I couldn't ask for more! The ending is superb, ON ALL LEVELS. This is the type of series that you'll keep on your bookshelf for a long, long time.
The complex plot, the politics, and the unforgettable characters are just so ON POINT. The story stays with you. The twists will break you and build you up that you'll keep on asking for MORE. Up till the end, the magic is consistent and there's never a dull moment. I love it. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. ...more

4.5 stars. It would've been 4 stars, but those last few chapters gutted me (in a good way). I really liked the overall plotline, but there were some things that didn't completely settle with me.
When I opened the book, I really wasn't sure what to expect (in terms of plot), because the ending of Hidden Huntress created utter chaos (wonderfully). As mentioned before, as much as I loved the book in general, there were some bits that bored me a little. Although those bits weren't too bad, and the sl ...more

This was a wonderful completion to this highly enjoyable series.
A quick rundown of my thoughts of the series as a whole: I love the first book in hindsight but it took me two reads to fully grasp it. (I'm not sure if this was my frame of mind, the writing style, I suspect it was simply not what I was expecting 'visually' so it set me back. There is a lot of court intrigue to get our head around too.) The second book was still a solid read but felt slow to me as I had already guessed the big end ...more

Oh boy, that hurt so good. Fantastic ending to a great trilogy, but it was ROUGH. Like, really, seriously rough. To the point where I crying a little bit for something to just GO RIGHT! But the ending of Cecile and Tristan's story was exciting, unexpected, adventurous, romantic, and almost exactly what I was hoping it would be. There were a couple things that seemed out of the blue and at some points I thought there wasn't enough explanation as to what was happening, but overall I was satisfied
