So this is what a book hangover feels like... Danielle L. Jensen I just want to thank you for putting this into the world!

I stumbled upon this book because of Regan from Peruse Project. I added this book to read eight months ago and I've been kicking myself for the last three days for not picking it up sooner.

I had to force myself to put this book down a few times in order to savour every piece of it. I could have easily blown through this novel in a day but I just knew the shattered mess I wa

Ok gotta set the mood here. Turn off the lights, light some candles, put on some music..... oooh Tristan. OH sorry *clears throat* let me start again.

This book was amazing, it quickly made it way not only to my number one book of 2015 (I know it's only June, but I highly doubt there will be anything to top this) but my number one book of all time. I actually bought this book quite a while ago after being told about it, then I picked it up read chapter one and then put it down again. Now I am kic

I've been wanting to read this book for a long, long time, and I'm happy to report that it was worth the wait! The story is rich and complex with well thought out plot twists and complications. It starts off with a bang that carries to the last, heartbreaking page. The characters are terrific and many are physically unique, especially Marc, who I have a definite soft spot for. Cecile is a strong, female lead with a lot of spunk and fire to her, and Tristan is the broody prince who turns out to b ...more

*5 stars* is worth it.
Why? Because when I'm reading Stolen Songbirdit feels like I'm entering Europe in the 16-17th century. I know, it didn't tell about Europe history at all. But the setting, the characters it's like you read the circumstances, politics, and intrigue at French Autocracy in Middle Century.

Stolen Songbird is story about Cécile de Troyes, a-young-pretty girl who has a beautiful voice from the Hollow village kidnapped by Luc whom sell her to the troll in Trollus (live under the Fo

When I started this book, I wasn't entirely sure if I would like it. Perhaps I have some preconceived notions about trolls and was prepared to not like any of them.

I was pleasantly surprised, and drawn straight into this book. The characterization was tremendous, and Jensen does an excellent job with showing the reader rather than telling. I could picture each character and setting perfectly in my mind.

This book kept me interested throughout its entirety. I loved Tristan and his sarcastic self

Amazing troll book!!!

I absolutely loved this book! I really can't think of one thing that I didn't like about it. Cecile's character was strong and courageous and completely unselfish, I also loved that she was smart about her actions because in a lot of books the heroine tries to be brave but is stupid about it. I also loved that I got to know Tristan and even though at the beginning I wasn't sure about him he definitely grew in this story and I loved him! I love the city of Trollus and the des

oh ya ampun, aku nggak nyangka bakal suka sama novel ini.
sebenernya udah lama juga liat bukunya. cuman gara-gara judulnya, dikira sejenis sama buku yang temanya berat kayak the girl who kicked the hornet nest gitu...
tapi enggak dong~ ini tema favorit banget. fantasi romance. yeay...!!!

This review is long overdue. I rate this book 4.5 out of 5 stars and here's why. I needed to re-read this book before posting my review because I felt like a short perusal would do no justice to this particular novel. The intricacies and thought put into the plot and development deserved a second look, which I was able to spare through a read-along with the book's author, Danielle Jensen. So when it come to the story itself, the book is a winner. Sure most of us have read countless renderings of ...more

3 stars, because I enjoyed the book, but the second half was overdone with unbelievable twists and irrational decisions.
