I'm usually wary of books which are sudden sensations, but this one didn't disappoint me.Probably also because I'm a bit biased towards British writers.The ending was predictable even before the halfway stage, but that wasn't really the point of this book. With just 5 people, 3 houses and a train as plot elements, and an age-old idea of an alcoholic character who blacks out frequently, Paula has crafted an excellent thriller using subtle psychological developments and relationship shifts in norm
