Just look at when I started and completed. That tells the whole story for you :)

Begin
Fail. Repeat. Begin. Fail. Repeat. Begin. Fail throws One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest out of the window and kills self * : This was one of my status update during the last week.

But as all things which demand your attention fully, it rewarded heavily :)

Characters that stay immortal. Scenes that are unimaginable. Writing which is so beautiful.

Shelves: banned-books-2013

This was an exhausting read, simply because I was so wrapped up in Kesey's world.

Since the book is written as a first person narrative, its I intense and (believe it or not) surprisingly believable.

Deserves all the accolades and praise. A definite spot on the must-read shelf. ...more

I am not an emotional guy but this got to me, maybe the bravado and bonding of insane men is something relate-able. this book was a delight, lighter than my previous reads but definitely engrossing and engaging. You root for Mack the rebel against the authoritarian reign of queen bitch nurse and the perspective of a giant Red-Indian makes it all the more interesting.
