This is my second time reading ADWD. First time through I loved it and couldn’t put it down. This time, I struggled through the first 50%. But during the last half, I was reminded of how much I enjoy the characters and world.
So my rating went from a 5* (2015) to a 4* (2019).
It’s also possible that anything in the world of Westeros/Essos looks fantastic in comparison with S8 GOT. The Finale is tomorrow and all I can say is, we better get The Winds of Winter, GRRM.
