Soooo…wow….this is presenting itself to be quite the difficult review for me to write. I'm struggling with putting my thoughts and feelings into words. With a penchant for funny media involving the grim reaper, I could not pass up a chance to read Death, the Devil, and the Goldfish by Andrew Buckley. While the book is definitely speculative fiction, I am positive if I found it my local library the little sticker on the back cover would not be Saturn with Sci-fi printed beneath it. A prophetic goldfish, the Angel of Death and the devil...sounds like the beginning of a great bar joke but in this case it's a creative, funny, fantastic story that will have you laughing from beginning to end.

Andrew Buckley conjures the spirit of British humor into a Pythonic metaphysical musing that will have you laughing out loud. Definitely recommend this one!

Upon opening the book and reading the first page, curiosity struck me and I had to keep reading. Despite the few spelling and punctuation errors, I enjoyed it. The voice the author uses with his characters is full of comedy and I chuckled through most of the book with a few outbursts of ''Ooh my god ha! did that just happen?!''
