[close] This was an unusual book. I really liked it. The characters were very interesting and likeable and the situations Ry gets into during his summer adventure, although rather outlandish, are a blast to experience with him. I like that the author included some illustrations, which included cut-aways to the dogs that got lost. I enjoyed the interesting way the author described settings or situations. Different than the usual ways of describing things. Normally I don't like descriptive stuff very much. This was different. My son and I wish that there was a sequel. :)
