Update as of February 2019: 4.5 years later, I think I can say that the only book from this series I truly loved and gave 5 stars wholeheartedly to is The Assassin's Blade. All the others? Eh.

What an excellent first installment to a series! I love the characters! However, I don't know who I like more, Dorian or Choal. I love them equally! Can't wait to get my hands on the next book.
