I enjoyed this so so much.
Celaena is an amazing protagonist, witty, smart and badass. My love for Chaol is boundless and I even like Dorian a lot, which is a miracle, considering that he is part of a love triangle (which I normally despise) and I don't ship him with the main character.
What I appreciated was how quickly the plot moved (especially the competition). Maas did a great job in combining world-building, romance and mythology into one gripping story, leaving the reader with questions, wh ...more

IS IT POSSIBLE TO GIVE THIS BOOK 100 STARS?!
LIKE SERIOUSLY!
THIS IS JUST THE FIRST BOOK AND MY MIND WAS ALREADY BLOWN AWAY YET MY EMOTIONS TOO!
I SHOULD HAVE READ THE BOOK EARLIER BUT I WAS PROCRASTINATING THE SERIES CAUSE IT'S NOT YET FINISHED AND I'M AFRAID OF CLIFFHANGERS AND SUCH HORRIBLE THINGS THAT WILL HAPPEN.
ANYWAY, I CAN'T FATHOM WHAT WILL HAPPEN WITH THE NEXT BOOKS BUT I KNOW IT WOULD BE MORE SURPRISING. CROWN OF MIDNIGHT I'M ON MY WAY!

Simply fantastic! I loved every minute, although I was confused on some parts. Can't wait to pick up the book in the series.
