Shelves: historical-fiction
Really enjoyed the strength of this remarkable woman. I cannot wait for the next book which will focus on how she became THE Hilda of Whitby. Was it merely a convenient power play or was there a conversion involved. Being able to read and write and pass along information gave the Catholic priests a decided edge in winning royal favor. What convinces Hild to throw in with them. She had an excellent analytic mind and tremendous self-dscipline to see her prophecies come to pass.
