I had heard of the stories which form the premise of this book, namely that not everyone who died in hospitals during Hurricane Katrina had died of natural causes. Sheri Fink's account of five days during and immediately after Katrina is very compelling. The second part of the book, focussed on the justice system, law and ethics was less compelling to me.
