This is one of many "bookstore owner" books I've read. I just finished reading The Pale Blue Eye (Louis Bayard)in which Edgar Allan Poe was a main character. In this book Poe's Tamerlane plays a critical role. Coincidence? I don't think so... ;-) A.J. Fikry is a bookstore owner on a small island. Two women come into his life in different ways. I liked all the characters but one (nobody likes him) and the plot develops at a regular pace.
