It's the holidays and the members of the I-team are celebrating at their annual newspaper Christmas party at a downtown Denver hotel. Across the hall is a reception for the British Ambassador. Pretty good for an action plot.
This reminded me of the first Bruce Willis Die Hard movie. Terrorists take over a hotel holding guests hostage. A cop who was in the hotel as a party guest sneaks around causing trouble for the terrorists. Others do heroic things as well.
The ending went a little overboard with excessive talk about families, babies, barbecues, and thanking everyone.

Perfect novella. I could say more, but it's really enough to say that if you are an I-Team fan, you will love this book. If you haven't tried the series, you really need to start with one of the other full length novels to gain an affinity to one of the couples. Pamela Clare does not disappoint. She is in great form in this book.

Re-read December 2016. Still as good, if not better the second time around. Still cried this time. This one really tugs at the heartstrings while setting you at the edge of your seat.
For a novella, this reads better than some other full length books I've read. Pamela Clare is a great story teller, and she knows how to create some great heroes! Wow...what an amazing finish to one of my all-time favourite series. This one had me on the edge of my seat one minute, in tears the next. I honestly can't say enough about how wonderful this whole series is...well written, well researched, action-packed and seriously steamy. If you haven't read I-Team, and you like Romantic-Suspense, you're definitely missing out!

Another fantastic I-team novel that brings back my favorite characters. Read the rest of the series before this one. Pamela catches you up with each team member and their family. The story is packed with action. I couldn’t put it down. I can’t wait to read more and hope for more Marc and Julian appearances. I found Pamela after reading Kaylea Cross’s HRT series. I enjoyed their cameo and had to start reading Pamela’s series to catch up.
*4.5* I was really impressed with Ms Clare's ability to (believably) weave in ALL the I-Team characters into this romantic suspense novella. Loved getting everyone's POV!! We see the strength and fortitude of each character plus the deep bond they have for one another.
