I first read this book in sixth grade and it has inspired me to take up fencing (closest thing to sword-fighting I could find) and learn Ancient Greek in college. Needless to say, it has been a huge part of my life. I have been apprehensive of re-reading it because I was worried the writing would be overly simplified and overall, the book would be a disappointment compared to when I read it as a sixth grader.
