While a very interesting and informative read, this was hard to get through. The alternating narratives of the architects and the serial killer, Holmes, felt like having to sit through a lot of commercials during your favorite show. During the period of building and preparation for the Chicago World Fair, a mass murder spreads his evil. The historic chapters about the fair intrigued me while the chapters about the depraved murderer did not.
