What Members Thought
I thoroughly enjoyed Mary Miley's story of Leah Randall, a vaudeville actress who takes up the role of a lifetime: Jessamine Carr. A missing-presumed-dead heiress who disappeared seven years ago. She is about to return on the eve of her 21st birthday to claim her fortune. Every time I thought I'd "called the ending," Miley thwarted me. I was along for the ride the entire time, and I think most readers will love this trip to Prohibition-era Oregon as they discover what really happened to Jessie C

Three stars seems low but I don't know that I could say more than I liked it. It was a fun read and I thought Mary Miley did great for her first novel. I was happy with the ending and I enjoyed reading it. I'm glad I read it.
