I just changed my rating from 3 to 5. I'm usually not a hesitant person, but this series is just...weird.
I read this book before, skimmed it and found it confusing and just plain weird.
Rereading it a couple of nights ago made me realize how unfocused I've been while reading the first time. I absolutely loved it! I'm never judging books rapidly again. ...more

Amazing, Delightful, Exciting, Unique and ONE MAJOR ROLLERCOASTER RIDE FULL OF THE FEELS. Reading Cinder for the second made me appreciate the story even more and maybe because I knew what was going to happen and when. When I had first read it the story fell flat the story went by too slow and there was even a moment when I had to stop reading because I couldn't get into it.

But the second time around, I was all over this baby, turning the pages and going through the feels, talking to the charac Amazing, Delightful, Exciting, Unique and ONE MAJOR ROLLERCOASTER RIDE FULL OF THE FEELS. Reading Cinder for the second made me appreciate the story even more and maybe because I knew what was going to happen and when. When I had first read it the story fell flat the story went by too slow and there was even a moment when I had to stop reading because I couldn't get into it.

But the second time around, I was all over this baby, turning the pages and going through the feels, talking to the characters as if they were sitting on the edge of my bed, all the the things fangirls go through while reading a great book.

So Cinder takes place in a futuristic Asia known as New Beijing the capital of the Eastern Commonwealth. Cinder a very well-known mechanic in New Beijing meets Prince Kai who asks her to fix his android. Of course she does, I mean who wouldn't? But what Kai doesn't know is that Cinder is a cyborg who are treated as second class citizens. Because of that Cinder isn't treated so kindly by her step-mother and one of her step-sister who were real pieces of work, I mean like really girl? Why you gotta hate Cinder like that? But Cinder isn't alone because she has a android as a best friend (Iko) who I LOVED! If you read Cinder you know how LOVEABLE Iko is. Cinder has another step-sister who absolutely adores Cinder. But it's unfortunate to what happens later on in the story but I won't go into that because it's a big SPOILER.

Since the story takes place in the future you know there's something that exactly isn't right and there is, the fatal plague that has been effecting the Earth for the past decade, in which has taken millions of lives. The other thing that isn't right in this futuristic world that Marissa Meyer has graciously made is the Evil Luna Queen who is just as worse and even more worse than Cinder's step-mother. She was annoying.

Meyer did a good at writing because there were moments where I wanted to slap Cinder's step-mother and the Lunar Queen. Moments where I wanted Kai to speak up tell it like it is. And then there were moments where I was confused, especially when it came to how Cinder looked. I know i'm not the only one but as I was doing some research on how Cinder looked, I was glad to read that Cinder didn't look like your average YA heroine which was refreshing for me.

When you finish this book you'll be like,

But to finish this review up I HIGHLY reccomend this BOOK to anyone who loves anime or anyone who just wants to read something different for a change.
