(3 1/2 stars) This book isn't easy. And for Bryson fans out there, I understand this is not as funny and light as his other books (this is my first). It's a little bit like a very concise, amusing textbook for all science classes K-12 - which is a lot. But I'm glad I read it. It clarified some things that have been foggy for me since 3rd grade, and it made me really think about some big questions - particularly how small and brief human life is in the grand scheme of things.
