The blurb got my attention and the book trailer peaked my interest even more.

There are several characters in the story whose lives intersect. Each one with their own tragic story.

Learning each character's story is like having a piece of the puzzle. And I couldn't put the book down till I had all the pieces.

Take One With You is an original, gripping and thought provoking book!
It made me reflect on life and death and everything in between.
It also made me think of actions, consequences and

Gritty, riveting, and provocative. TAKE ONE WITH YOU takes readers on a wild ride, with sharp twists and turns. The basic premise is to commit suicide, but to take an awful soul with you before you do. But there's more to this story and it creates some incredibly interesting ideas for conversation. Like who are we to make choices about lives like we are gods? And one of the coolest parts of the book is that the TOWY craze goes viral, which does speak to how our society can be coerced into a tren ...more

To take ones own life is cowardice and a tragedy.
To take one with you, takes courage of ones convictions.
This story is about just that...
We are taken on a rollercoaster ride into the lives of several people who at one point cross paths in one way or another. Who's lives will be affected by each others in ways they never imagined. Their stories are ever so despairing, having loved and lost.
The author portrays each character astonishingly well. This was a compelling, pertubing, and very well writ

It's not enough. Convicting a rapist, pedophile, murderer, none of it is enough. You have to Take One With You.

Oak Anderson takes the reader on an edgy fast-paced ride. So fast that I had to sleep on it before I could write a review just to get my brain to calm down. With the ingenious use of mixed media, all facets of a murderous vigilante movement are explored from every angle - morals, legality, society, politics, and teenagers falling in love. Intertwined sub-plots presents three-dimensional

I am terrible at formatting, punctuation and paragraphing so don't judge.

The Universe is hostile.

The premise of T.O.W.Y ( Take one with you ) is two people put up a website forum that entices the people who are so tired and beaten down by life, either loss of someone, drugs, terminal illness, etc , you KNOW you WANT to die but not with out taking someone with you while you leave, kind of a Dexter-esque approach of "taking out the trash" and leaving the world better while you go. The website be

Giving this one a five star rating for the premise; the concept being a new one, I believe. The idea to "Take One With You" is the brainchild website of Charlie and Sarah, two disaffected teenagers who, though polar opposites, come from desperately unhappy home situations. While both of these two were motivated by the thought of suicide, there is the additional option of terminal persons also electing to take out a pedophile, murderer, or other major felon who might otherwise have gotten away wi ...more

Take One With You by Oak Anderson

Charlie and Sarah are two teens who are both suffering depression for their own reasons. They meet in an on-line chat room. They decide they want to rid the world of criminals, rapists and pedophiles etc. So they come up with a plan for the "suicidal teens". If they are going to take their own lives then they should "take one with you" (meaning kill a bad person). Basically it would be a homicide/suicide. Soon it goes viral and things get out of control.

The book was good. I like stuff like this. I did find it a little confusing at first because one minute, the book is talking about certain people and then it starts talking about another set of people. It was like it was jumping around a lot.

But I figured out what the author was doing. The book was telling you that all of these different people were connected. It was different but I liked it.
I also received the book for free through Goodreads First Reads :)

While I enjoyed the concept, I think this may have just been one of those times when my mind wasn't staying with the story. It went along really well, then began to drag some for me. However I still enjoyed the story, and will keep an eye out for more books by Oak. ...more

This is a bit dark for me. I understand the concept but didn't like the way it jumped from person to person. All in all it was well written and the characters were fleshed out really well. ...more
