With ideas and messages that paved the way for an entire genre of speculative fiction, the concepts of Brave New World are prescient and cautionary. The novel is a revered classic, but like many, does not necessarily translate to an entertaining read in 2018. The narrative is flimsy and what story there is isn't done any favours by the convoluted and inaccessible prose.
