What Members Thought

Before I read this, I sometimes made fun of fantasy, especially epic fantasy. I thought it was silly and formulaic. I suppose my views were highly influenced by the less than stellar series started by Eragon. Combine that poor introduction to the genre with my belief that I was too much of a science fiction girl to like fantasy, and I put off the reading of fantasy novels.
