I'm always waiting for each new A Domestic Diva Mystery just to see what not so domestic diva, Natasha is up to next. It always seems everything she does goes wrong and she she can never get a break she has a hit local TV show, where she tries to imitate her best Martha Stewart but with minimal success. Then there's the real domestic diva in my eyes, her friend Sophie, event planner in Old Town where they live. Everything that Sophie touches turns to gold, she cooks perfectly, has a amazing frie I'm always waiting for each new A Domestic Diva Mystery just to see what not so domestic diva, Natasha is up to next. It always seems everything she does goes wrong and she she can never get a break she has a hit local TV show, where she tries to imitate her best Martha Stewart but with minimal success. Then there's the real domestic diva in my eyes, her friend Sophie, event planner in Old Town where they live. Everything that Sophie touches turns to gold, she cooks perfectly, has a amazing friends including her ex husband Mars who is now with Natasha living just down the street from them, yes you read that right.

She is also friends with another ex, Wolf who happens to be a homicide investigator and then there's Alex who is Sophie's new male friend and lawyer who keeps walking into compromising situations with Sophie and her exes. Sophie is asked to plan an event for the Sixtieth anniversary of Amore Chocolates. Sophie makes it a perfect party,it's everything a chocolate lover could dream of but It's not long before strange things start happening the company's CEO, Joe Merano goes missing. Then Sophie while cleaning up after the event finds competing chocolatier hunched over a bathtub in the guesthouse of the Merano's mansion where the party took place strangled to death.

The family is in dire straits especially grandma Nonni, the very lovable Italian grandma and asks Sophie to help find Joe and find out who could have killed the chocolatier and with Sophie receiving boxes of anonymous chocolates. Sophie along with her side kick and best friend, Nina Reid Norwood try to track down the CEO of Amore Chocolates and find killer who loves chocolate enough to kill for.

The foodie in me has me coming back to the Domestic Diva's every time just to see what deliciousness that Sophie whips up in her kitchen and also to be sure to avoid anything that Natasha may make (laugh out loud). I love foodie cozy mysteries and this series and this series is perfect for every foodie The Diva Steals a Chocolate Kiss is filled with delicious food descriptions, yummy recipes you will be dying to try (Pardon the pun). A crazy dysfunctional family, a missing patriarch of a chocolate empire, murder, and a killer that will leave the reader asking who would have expected them. Characters with so many family secrets but one by one the come out with Sophie's help. Many twists and turns in this mystery that makes it a perfect read for everyone.

The Diva Steals a chocolate kiss by Krista Davis is the 9th book in the Domestic Diva mystery series. Sophie is helping Amore Chocolates celebrate their 60th anniversary when a rival chocolatier is murdered at the chocolate tasting. This book seemed to have too many things going on making it a little confusing and difficult to follow. Sophie's actions and responses to her current and his ex boyfriends were unrealistic and superficial.Not of the standard set by the previous books. Seemed very rus ...more

Sophia is at it again, only this time she was asked to look into the disappearance of the CEO, Joe Merano at Amore Chocolates, all while also being the event planner for the sixtieth anniversary event. What happens next is a murder at the Merano's house where the event is taking place and all sixty of the winners are there as well as the Merano family, wait staff, and a long list of suspects.
