I really must live under my rock because it’s taken me this long to pull out and read Sean Kennedy’s Tigers and Devils. However, in this case I almost don’t mind as I’d skimmed reviews when deciding months and months ago enough to know it was generally well received but not enough to remember specifics on what reviewers commented on. So maybe you’ve heard this all before, but if you’re under my rock with me let me tell you this is a fabulous work of fiction, even romance fiction if you have to f

Though the narrator did a good job with the audiobook I don't understand why they chose an American narrator. It was odd listening to him use all the Aussie slang.

Disclaimer - I’m on a mission at the moment to find new, amazing books to add to my bookshelves. So my tolerance for books I’m not immediately sucked into is pretty low. I’m looking for engaging writing, well-developed characters, and engrossing plot lines.
This one is a bit of a classic in the MM genre - you see it everywhere - so I figured it was time to give it a go. Something about the cover has always turned me off in the past.

Beautiful book, just like everyone said. I hate sports books and I missed a little because I had no idea what they were talking about, but this is a love story and the sports stuff is secondary. This was very well written, the first page very literary. I don't like how it started in that it was slow and about stuff before the main story, but the whole thing was so good, I completely forgot almost right away.

Great book. There were some rather childish grudges held throughout the book, but I loved the storyline and the characters' growth.

This is a good story. And by that I mean it is a well crafted tale with interesting well written characters. Characters that seem very real to me. I don't know if it's because at one point in life I lived with 4 guys from Australia, one of which was a former AFL player and when I met him he had just left because of an injury. They all loved the sport. Two of the others played for the SANFL. I loved those guys and that was a great time in life, so maybe my fondness for this comes from th ...more

I don't know how to discribe this awesome book.I love reading mm romance and almost all of the books I read from this genre are light readings. But this one is something else - a carefull study relationship between characters. The characters're not somebody you met in a book, but in your real life - real people free of exaggeration and dramatization with their problems-and all these make Tigers and Devils so interesting and one of its kind.I definitely recommend it and it becomes one of my favourit

Wow, can’t believe it’s over 10 years since I first read this amazing, funny romance. Simon and Declan were both wonderful characters. Simon is sweet, spazy, impulsive and snarky but he loves Declan with all his heart. Declan is a swoon worthy mc. This book is funny and poignant and reading it again today, I can definitely say it stands up beautifully to the test of time.
