The book is comprised of two stories (Christmas Pride and Shaw's Tail) introducing us to the world of shifters. Admittedly, I didn't really like the first story featuring Mace and Dez. It was unbalanced with too much sex and not enough storyline. There are some clever exchanges between the couple, but not enough to keep my undivided attention. This book is essentially two short stories about two male lion shifters whose romances overlap.
Light and fluffy, with uncomplicated characters and simple language and plot, it includes the stories of two unlikely couples that have male lion shifters as their male heroes and commitment phobic women as their other halves.
A couple of interesting characters whose stories I'm curious to read, Mitch, Smitty and Sissy Mae among them, but probably not in the very near future. ...more

Highly enjoyable and fun. Can't wait to pick up the rest of this series.
