I was pleasantly surprised how much I really liked Remy. In my opinion he was a very complex character. I admit, I didn't like him at all in Without Reservation. He was a jerk almost all through the book (but a handsome one of course...lol) and I hated the way he treated Keaton. Luckily, we find out why Remi acts the way he did, and soon he became a character that was not only likeable, but someone who captured my heart. The D/s relationship between he and Jake surprised me, too.

I loved this book. Remi definately goes through alot of change and character development. He is not the same person we met in Without Reservation, but we learn what makes him tick, and act the way he does.
He and Jake are definately made for one another. I thought that the way they worked together as a team and even started their own pack, was great.

I really enjoyed this installment, having reread the previous two books in preparation for this storyline. I had some trouble reconciling Remi in book 2 to the Remi in this book (view spoiler) but I loved the shifter developments that the author has built. I'll definitely be reading the next in this series fairly soon.

I'm so glad I took a chance on this book. I really didn't like Without Reservations, so I was hesitant to continue the series but this book really worked for me. I actually liked the MCs. It felt like they're was more to the plot than just holding together a bunch of sex scenes and their was actually some romance!
