In My Hunger by Lisa Renee Jones we dive back in to the beautifully messed up mind of Mr. Mark Compton. With recent events, there is chaos all around him, personally and professionally. And the man who always is in complete control, really...has no control at all, especially when a certain female is close by.

❝...she'd been screaming more, more, more. Demanding more, when it is I who demand. I who decide when and how, and what is satisfaction.❞

Mark Compton continues to be a mystery to me, but I

I just LOVE the Inside Out series, this novella is Marks point of view. This is part of a series, and is best if you have read the other books first because each book builds up to the next. Mark is trying to deal with the death of Rebecca who was murdered by his lover, his mother is fighting cancer, and he is trying to stay in control. He is attracted to Crystal who works closely with his mother, and they end up having hot sex. Mark has to always be in control as master, but Crystal is definitel ...more

An Inside Out Novella in Mark's POV

While Chris and Sara have traveled to Paris to avoid the chaos of press and police after the tragic night we’d shared, I have stayed to face the reality of what has happened. But there is no peace to be found in facing the truth, and no truth to be found in the confessions that have been made and retracted. I am a Master, all about control, and yet right now, facing great tragedy, I feel as if I have none. With my club and my

I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review. I was not compensated in any way.

This is a book that it is recommended that you at least read the book Master Undone first. This book is split into parts and each part has a title. It is written in the first person – told from Mark Compton’s point of view.

Crystal Smith works for Mark but it’s more than that. Part one has an interesting interaction between the two of them and will leave you needing

I loved it! I really enjoyed seeing what was going on with Mark during the same time frame of Chris and Sara from Revealing Us. I loved the revelations about Mark as events dealing with Rebecca and the gallery create more stress, pressure, and tension. The control that Mark so values and is such a prominent part of his character becomes a huge struggle to maintain. Crystal continues to be an interesting character. She's willing to bend in some ways, but she also continues to challenge Mark in wa ...more

I was deliciously blessed to receive an ARC copy of MY HUNGER

I haven't been sure what I think of Mark Compton. He's been such a mystery to me. I like him, I don't like him, I want more, I don't know!
Then his first POV novella 'The Master Undone' opened a glimpse into a different Mark Compton ... I wanted more!
My Hunger gives us more but leaves you WANTING more more more!
I don't want to give anything away because I'm a firm believer in letting people find out for themselves ...

I have very mixed emotions about My Hunger. While I really like it a lot, it was just missing something to me. Don’t ask me what exactly because I can’t answer you but something was off! With that being said, I love the Mark & Crystal, she’s not submissive at all but yet smart enough to sense the danger and know when to give in!! Then there is Mark who is so so careful now or at least that’s the vibe I get from him. The weight of everything is pulling him so far under I assume its only a matter ...more

A very nice quick read that made me just want more. Wow Mark really needs to deal with his mother's illnes and a few other things. Crystal seems nice enough but not sure what to make of her yet seems a bit pushy but I will see. Great read. ...more

FINALLY, I’ve been waiting and waiting for this moment, when Mark owns up to himself all the screw ups he previously made. I have to say that Mark was for the most part my least favorite character in this series, but My Hunger helped to redeem him to me a little, I can’t wait to see what No In Between brings us.
