Tagged as young adult but reads as new adult to me. Incredible twists at the end.

Would recommend for someone wanting a fantasy book that just so happens to feature lesbian characters.

Also, the lesbian characters share common tropes with Cait Vi from Arcane

Originally picked this up as it was recommended as a sapphic book for sapphic September. Having finished it this does have a sapphic romance, but it's not really a main portion to this book in the series (unsure about the other two).

That said, I am so so so pleasantly surprised at how absolutely incredible this book is. It doesn't read as a debut novel whatsoever. I originally thought following 5 different characters would be too much and cause the pacing to be very odd and disjointed but Andre ...more
