Personally I liked it better than The Brothers Karamazov but not as good as Crime and Punishment.

I liked the deep philosophical discussions. I was disappointed about Brothers Karamazov on philosophy. On the other hand there there are just way too many characters. And most of them has three names, most of them used independently. Some even have nick names.

This was the most 20th century 19th century novel I've read. Way ahead of it's time.

PS- This is not my first time around the Russian bloc, but I admit I had trouble with the names.

4, 1/2 stars. Another masterpiece, the bleakest maybe. Completely hopeless, but still great.
