Personally I liked it better than The Brothers Karamazov but not as good as Crime and Punishment.
I liked the deep philosophical discussions. I was disappointed about Brothers Karamazov on philosophy. On the other hand there there are just way too many characters. And most of them has three names, most of them used independently. Some even have nick names.

This was the most 20th century 19th century novel I've read. Way ahead of it's time.
