I should've started reading whatever I wanted a LONG time ago. It's so much fun. I'm embarrassed to say that I have to thank Nicole Cliffe's Twitter account for this book suggestion. From Canadian True Crime to complicated horse sports to the history of rock and roll, she knows everything about everything. She's seen it all and read it all and she is my hero. A lot of fun. The main characters were decent, but the supporting cast really shines. Bex's parents, Gaz, Cilla, Freddy, and especially Bea are great. I liked the many layers of the sister relationship as well; it seemed realistically complicated, and completely portrayed how siblings can break each other down, build each other up, and fight back-to-back against the whole rest of the world together. I wish I could keep hanging out with these characters.
